At first glance, an ordinary black tower from the turn of the millennium – with a blue LCD display on the front and a pop-out DVD drive, the kind that used to sit under an office desk. At second glance, a gaming PC that runs Cyberpunk 2077 and Counter-Strike 2 at high settings. That is exactly what a sleeper PC is: an unassuming exterior hiding modern performance.

Inside the retro case you get a six-core AMD Ryzen 5 9600X (Zen 5) and an XFX Swift Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16 GB of memory – plenty for smooth 1440p gaming and for new games that ask for more video memory. It is backed by 32 GB of DDR5, a fast WD Black SN850X NVMe drive with a heatsink, an MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WiFi board with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and an EVGA 850 W Gold power supply with headroom for a stronger graphics card.

The DVD drive is not just for show: it plays movies, burns backups and lets you install games and software from your old discs. Take the side panel off and you are greeted by the RGB lighting of the Wraith Prism cooler and the memory, while the outside stays discreet – nobody will guess what is inside.

You will not find a PC like this in a regular online shop. It is our special build for anyone who loves retro design but does not want to compromise on performance – on a gaming desk or as the centrepiece of a retro corner.
